This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to apply their skills and knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, project estimation, and project bidding. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness from the initial proposal to the final closeout. Develop comprehensive, detailed project estimates by gathering all necessary information and analyzing important metrics. 2. Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on job plans and specifications. 3. Utilize your expertise in plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems to provide accurate cost estimates. 4. Prepare and submit project bids, including detailed cost analysis, project specifications, and timelines. 5. Evaluate and adjust estimates and bids as necessary, based on changes in design, materials, labor, or time requirements. 6. Conduct risk management assessments to identify potential challenges and propose mitigating solutions. 7. Maintain accurate records of all estimation documentation, updating as necessary to reflect project adjustments. 8. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and suppliers, ensuring all parties are kept informed of project progress and changes. 9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market pricing, and new materials or techniques that could impact project costs. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Permanent Estimator position should possess the following skills and qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation, specifically in plumbing and HVAC systems. 2. Proven experience in project bidding and a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations. 3. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail. 4. Proficient in relevant software for project estimation and bidding. 5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. 6. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. 7. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. 8. Professional certification in project estimation or a related field is a plus.
