Job Description Job Description About the Role LHH is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our clients team in Northeast Ohio. This role is ideal for someone passionate about innovative product development , precision engineering , and hands-on problem-solving . You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and refine products that meet rigorous quality and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Design and Develop: Create and optimize mechanical and/or electrical designs for new and existing products using CAD tools. Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs meet global certifications and regulatory requirements for safety and performance. Prototyping & Testing: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to build prototypes, conduct performance tests, and implement design improvements. Continuous Improvement: Apply Six Sigma principles and other quality methodologies to enhance product reliability and efficiency. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with R&D, operations, and quality teams to align design objectives with business goals. Documentation: Maintain accurate design documentation, specifications, and revision histories. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering , or related field. 3 years of experience in product design or engineering roles. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar). Familiarity with compliance standards and global certifications for product design. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
