Job Description:The RoleThe Director, Alternative Instrument
Readiness is a member of the FFIO Global Product Solutions Team
(GPS) and is responsible for the onboarding of new alternative
instruments into FFIO, coordinating work needed to support various
Asset Manager investment paths. This role requires deep expertise
of Alternative Instruments including (Derivatives, Loans, and
Digital assets). The Director would be helping to define new
service models and drive innovation in building scalable solutions
to support the long-term growth of alternative instruments and
reduce operational impact. This will involve documenting
requirements with business partners on new instrument intake,
working across FFIO to understand the current support model,
identifying gaps, and working with service lines and business
partners to develop scalable solutions in a timely manner. This
role will work with other teams within FFIO as well as across the
organization, collaborating with Asset Management, Legal, Risk, and
Compliance on instrument readiness. - -The Expertise and Skills You
Bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in
Finance/Accounting with at least 3-5 of those years spent in either
Derivative or Alternative Instruments.
- Broad understanding of the alternative fund industry, including
private equity, private markets, real assets, and hedge fund
products.
- Detailed instrument knowledge (including Listed and OTC
Derivatives, Loans, Digital Assets, and other Alternatives).
- Detailed understanding of the lifecycle of the complex
instruments to aid in ensuring strong FFIO Control Structure.
- Experience supporting middle and back-office operations for
private fund structures is preferred.
- Outstanding analytical, conceptual thinking, and
problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong project management, formal and informal team leadership
skills.
- Flexibility and the skill to both lead and contribute to teams
are musts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and
deliver cogent, informative presentations to all levels and
functions of business leadership.
- Presence and judgment to put forward well-reasoned
recommendations and engage in dialogue with key
decision-makers.
- Understanding of financial and accounting principles and how to
