Overview

Part Time (20 hours per week) - Community Awareness Research and Education to Save Lives - partially remote.

Provides program leadership for HVC CARES (Heart and Vascular Center Community Awareness Research and Education to Save Lives) initiatives, including but not limited to program development and implementation, conducting community assessment activities, reporting on program results and making recommendations for improvement. Serves as clinical lead at HVC CARES community events, performing screening tests and educating community members of their health risks.

Responsibilities

--- Serves as the program leader for HVC CARES. Responsibility for strategic program development, conducting assessment activities to determine community needs, planning programs, and their implementation.

--- Responsible for coordinating multiple projects with organizations outside of D-H to provide services, as well as planning logistics of staff and promotional events.

--- Oversees program marketing and communications to all stakeholders, which may involve website or other general program communication oversight, and in conjunction with D-H Marketing & Communications department as required.

--- Prepares and develops training materials/resource information for participants and may assist with delivery of sessions.

--- Develops and facilitates continuous quality improvement initiatives including, but not limited to goal development, analytics and reporting, and program improvement recommendations.

--- Sets and monitors goals of assigned HVC CARES initiatives. Responsible defining goals and works with data analysts to track and interpret results and prepares progress reporting for stakeholders.

--- Responsible for setting and adhering to HVC CARES annual budget to include resource allocation, supply expenditure adherence, etc.

--- Collaborates with the D-H Purchasing Department to ensure procurement of all required equipment. Equipment upkeep and supply stocking.

--- Perform blood draw, blood pressure checks and other clinical screening during events.

--- Council and educate community members of their health risks and screening results at all events.

--- Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

--- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.

--- Specialty certification in cardiology preferred.

--- Excellent communication, organizational, decision making and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

--- Ability to represent the Heart and Vascular Center to external programs and community members as an enthusiastic and passionate member of the community.

--- Strong analytical problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task.

Required Licensure/Certifications

--- Licensed Registered Nurse with NH eligibility

--- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
