Position Summary: The Medical/Surgical RN is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective and quality patient-family centered care consistent with CCH and Maine State Standard: Excellent assessment, communication, computer and documentation skills needed Ability to function independently Ability to act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and support the mission, vision and values of the organization Key Responsibilities: Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpret and record measurements Monitor patients’ vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols Required Qualifications: 1 year of RN Med/Surg experience BLS Certification by AHA Compact or ME State License required Application Process: Please submit your resume to Rohit at (678) 367-2498 Qualified candidates will be contacted promptly for next steps.
