Job Description:
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center , a regional
tertiary care center and ACS-verified Level II trauma center, is
actively seeking an additional board-certified/board-eligible
full-time OB/GYN to join our well-established, hospital-employed
practice in Bangor, Maine. New graduates and those seeking visa

diem opportunities also available. The role: Work alongside 8
physicians, 2 certified nurse midwives, 2 nurse practitioners, and
skilled support staff Provide routine and high-risk obstetric and
gynecologic services to a patient population of approximately
500,000. We are the referral center for two-thirds of Maine and
many patients travel long distances to deliver at our hospital.
Strongly supported robotic surgery program with four DaVinci Xi
robots Our group performs approximately 1,100 of the 1,600
deliveries per year in Bangor. 24-hour access to Maternal Fetal
Medicine consultation via phone with on-site MFM ultrasound
department and 9 full-time sonographers. On-site Anesthesia and
Level III NICU Our team provides consultation services for the
Northern Light Family Medicine residency program, and we have
rotating medical students. Why Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical

redesign of our Women & Infants unit including twenty-five private
patient rooms, seven new labor and delivery rooms, and two new

complement the level of expertise found at our medical center.
