Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Bangor, Maine, 04401!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Intermediate Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year in Intermediate/PCU level of care If
only Med/Surg experience, must have 2 years with some PCU
experience License: Active nursing license in state of employment
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS AACCN preferred; CCRN preferred
Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Neuro/Trauma experience
preferred Description: ASAP start needed. Level II Trauma Center,
air transport available. Total beds: 411. Unit has 12 beds. Patient
populations include trauma, neuro strokes, and stable craniotomies.
Must be able to care for medical/surgical respiratory illnesses,
including COVID, Flu, and Pneumonia. Experience with long-term
trachs and vents is necessary. Requires knowledge of respiratory
failure management, including BiPAP and high flow O2. Expectations
also include post-operative care for general surgery and management
of sepsis. Patient types include cardiac conditions such as STEMI,
NSTEMI, CHF, and AFIB with RVR. Patient ratios for RNs are 1:3-4.
Tech ratio is 1:6-12, determined by staffing. Charting system
preferred is Cerner. Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis
medication dispensing is required. Floating to various departments
may occur based on assignment needs. Charge nurse may take patients
