advanced care, expertise and new treatment options their patients
require, they turn to us. The Medical-Neuro ICU is a 16 bed adult
inpatient unit caring for critically ill medical and neuro-science
patients. We provide care to patients with a wide range of complex,
highly acute medical/neuro issues utilizing a variety of advanced
technologies and devices including CRRT, monitoring intracranial
pressures, brain tissue oxygenation and hemo-dynamic monitoring.
Our patient population include but are not limited to; respiratory
failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver injury/failure, kidney
injury/failure, sepsis, drug/alcohol withdrawal, stroke,
head/spinal cord trauma and brain hemorrhage. RNs in this specialty
also must have a family-centered approach because of the critical
nature of our patients. We also work closely with our Critical Care
Pulmonologist, Neuro-intensivist, Physician Assistants and Advanced
Practice Registered Nurses to provide the highest quality of care
for our patients. Job Summary In critical care, our nurses are
highly skilled and trained; helping to provide expertise at the
bedside and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way.
The units heavily rely on a team-based mentality in which all

Excellence, Integrity and Caring. Qualifications Current
Connecticut RN License. Graduate of an accredited nursing school
(BSN Required). BLS certification by the American Heart
Association, ACLS certification, and proof of Arrhythmia
Certification required prior to date of hire. Minimum one year
Acute Care RN experience strongly preferred. In exceptional
circumstances, experienced ASN/ADN nurses currently in pursuit of a
